Diocese of St. George

The Diocese of St. George is the Mother diocese of the Independent Anglican Church - Canada Synod (1934) along with the other dioceses and communities linked to the Independent Anglican Church. It had its beginning in the Parish of St. John the Evangelist in Hamilton, Ontario.

As traditional Anglicans we follow, where the saints have trod, the old, familiar path; the path that leads, in order and dignity, to warmth and tolerance. We welcome all; all who come seeking such a way. We seek to be your spiritual foundation and haven in an ever changing world.

The Presiding Bishop of this diocese is The Most Reverend Peter W. Goodrich. As he currently serves as Archbishop and Primate of the Independent Anglican Church - Canada Synod (1934) The Right Reverend Seraphim Mary, OSF serves as the co-administrator of the diocese.
